MORE INFORMATION

Wheelchair access

Springwell has step free access and an accessible toilet. The main area of the taproom is all on one level.

The front door is 1m wide. We also have bi-folding doors which can be easily opened to accommodate your wheelchair.

Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access to our upstairs mezzanine area.

Anti-discrimination

All North venues are diverse, inclusive,  accepting safe spaces. We welcome all races, genders, ages and sexual orientations. Our toilets at Springwell are all gender neutral.

Seating

The majority of our indoor seating is high stools. We have some lower tables available, alongside casual bleacher seating. Our outdoor seating is at ‘beer hall’ style tables and benches.

If you have mobility/back issues we can always borrow a chair with a back from our HQ space. Likewise, if you need space for a wheelchair at your table we will ensure that you’re seated at a low table with plenty of space.

Please let us know of any access requirements through phoning us on 0113 345 3290 or adding a note to your online reservation. You can also email us on springwell@northbrewing.com

Table service / menus

We always offer table service inside and outside. Our live taplist is accessible via a QR code printed on your menu. Food and additional drinks are printed on menus on your tables. Our friendly team will be happy to assist if you need any help reading the printed menus, or want advice on the products available. We are happy to provide tasters of any of the drinks on tap.

Lighting / sound

During the daytime Springwell is a light, bright and sunny space. At night we dim the lights, put out candles, and light the brewery tanks with red lighting.

The music at Springwell is always played at a volume which allows you to hold a conversation comfortably. We have DJs playing all vinyl sets on Friday and Saturday evenings, with speakers inside and outside. If you would like to be sat away from the speakers please let us know.

Our busiest periods are on Fridays between 6pm and 9pm and on Saturdays between 3pm and 9pm. Sundays tend to be a more relaxed affair, with families enjoying brunch.

Any other questions?

Please ask a member of staff if you need assistance at any point during your visit. You are very welcome to phone us ahead of your visit and chat through any questions about accessibility at Springwell.

Walk-ins are preferred – we have lots of tables inside and outside.

For any bookings of 6+ people, please get in touch on  and we will get back to you.

We have a strict no stag/hen party policy.

No fancy dress allowed.

Springwell is a fully operational brewery during the week, so we only open the taproom at the weekends.

During these opening hours, we offer private hire of our mezzanine overlooking the taproom and the brewery. This space has a capacity of 50 seated and 80 standing. There is no hire cost for this, but we do require a minimum spend on the bar.

We offer full, exclusive use of Springwell Monday – Thursday from 6pm. Please get in touch on springwell@northbrewing.com for more details.

Food:

Little Bao Boy and Kerbside Kids have permanent residencies at Springwell, serving stuffed bao buns, loaded fries and burgers. Mezzanine bookings during our opening times will be able to order food as normal. For bookings outside of our opening times on a Monday-Thursday, either food vendor requires a £500 minimum spend to open for your party. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are available.

Private brewery tours:

We are very proud of our new home and love showing people around! We offer guided brewery tours followed by a tutored tasting of a selection of our beers, just metres away from where they were made! Our public tours run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but we can also arrange a private tour for special occasions or groups of colleagues. Please get in touch on springwell@northbrewing.com to enquire.

We love working with the local community to put on events! From art fairs, to jazz brunches, to vintage markets and record fairs.

During the daytime children are more than welcome at Springwell. We have baby changing facilities, highchairs, colouring sheets and crayons, and a selection of outdoor games for the summer months.

Sunday afternoons are really popular with local families. Both Little Bao Boy and Kerbside Kids can adapt dishes to suit little ones.

We ask that all children leave the premises by 9pm.

Well behaved dogs are more than welcome at Springwell! We have plenty of water bowls and treats for our four legged friends, and are a popular destination for people walking on Meanwood Ridge.

Dogs are allowed inside the taproom, but can’t come on to the brewery floor, so they can’t accompany you if you are on a brewery tour.
