North Bar Social boasts a large outdoor seating area, cosy upstairs function room, and some of the friendliest staff we know!
Our small, but perfectly formed, bar welcomes cyclists, dogs, walkers and has regulars from 18 to 80! Table service, a wide range of beers and wine, and a strong connection with the local community have brought a little piece of North Bar to Otley.

Wheelchair Access
North Bar Social has step free access and an accessible toilet. Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access to our upstairs event space. The front door is 75cm wide.
Anti-discrimination
All North venues are diverse, inclusive, accepting safe spaces. We welcome all races, genders, ages and sexual orientations. At North Bar Social we have toilets for both genders and encourage you to use the one you feel the most comfortable with.
Seating
The majority of our chairs in North Bar Social have a back, and are at a low level. We are a cosy bar, so the tables are close together. Some tables have backless stools. Outdoor seating is at ‘beer hall’ style tables and benches.
Lighting / sound
North Bar Social has large windows meaning that it is a bright, airy space during the daytimes and summer months. In the evening we dim the light and light the candles.
The music is always played a volume where you can comfortably have a conversation with your table.
North Bar Social is busiest in the evenings, and often gets a second wave of customers just before closing time. Early afternoons are quieter, and perfect for a peaceful pint with a book!
Service / menus
We always offer table service at North Bar Social.
Our draught menu is displayed on a chalk board behind the bar. Wine and cocktail menus are printed on the tables. We do not have digital menus at North Bar Social.
Our friendly team will be happy to assist if you need any help reading the printed menus, or want advice on the products available. We are happy to provide tasters of any of the drinks on tap.

Well behaved children are very welcome at North Bar Social. We have baby changing facilities, colouring sheets and a range of soft drinks available. We’re a cosy, neighbourhood bar so there may not always be room for prams on a weekend!
We ask that all under 18s leave the premises by 9pm.
We have a range of bar snacks available including crisps, nuts and pickles. Keep an eye on our social media feeds for news of pop up street food traders in the summer months.
Yes! We have tables and benches outside all year. In the summer months we have use of the courtyard, which is a real suntrap. Enjoy full table service with cold beers, hot coffee, or perfectly shaken cocktails delivered to your seat.
Yes! You can hire our upstairs event space for free!
The room comfortably holds up to 20 people and has seen events ranging from book clubs, to engagement parties, to charity quizzes, to birthday parties.
