How did you come to work for North?

S

My old job was at a marketing agency and at an event in Glasgow last year my boyfriend sent me the job posting on Instagram saying I’d be perfect for it. I’d been a fan of North since moving to Leeds a few years ago and it seemed like a dream role. Top Fact: the day of my interview I actually went to North Bar afterwards for a pint and there happened to be a lot of the HQ team there having a drink. They spotted me and I’d never felt so awkward in my life but apparently it wasn’t enough to put them off and here I am!

What was your first memorable beer experience?

S

I had my first pint of Staropramen in York 6 years ago in a tiny little pub under one of the arches and it was the first time that beer tasted different to all standard lager that I’d drunk previously. It was ruddy delicious and I haven’t stopped trying different beers since.

What have you been listening to recently?

S

I’ve been listening to Apricot by Bicep on repeat and City and Colour’s album A Pill For Loneliness. However, I’ve also been known to slam on a bit of vintage McFly (don’t knock it till you’ve tried it)

Where’s your favourite spot for a drink?

S

My balcony, in summer with a book in one hand and a cold Piñata in the other. I also love The The Cardigan Arms, Cross Keys Leeds, North Brew Co Tap and Porterhouse London. Anywhere with a fireplace that also allows dogs is my dream pub scenario.
