Triple Fruited Gose is back! Not just one new brew, but two!
We had the pleasure of welcoming Simon, Sam and Jim from Gipsy Hill to our brewery to brew a Japanese twist on a TFG. This one is brewed with white peach, Jasmine flowers and sticky rice – something we’ve never tried before. We put 20kg of basmati rice in the kettle in an attempt to extract its wonderful aroma and sticky glutinous texture. Late in the boil we sprinkled in a lot of Jasmine flowers, with more added after the fermentation. A massive 1200 litres of peach purée was added into the tanks for a good ol’ mix.
The Jasmine provides an aromatic twist, the peach lends sweetness and the rice builds the body. All coming together to make this Triple Fruited Gose a refreshing little number.
The second TFG welcomes in Summer in style! Brewed with white guava and orange peel this brew has a zesty freshness, an almost sherbet-y sour tang that balances against the natural sweetness from the guava. We will be taking this brew to Magic Rock’s Sesh Fest, to tantalise the tastebuds of those attending.
Not coming to Sesh Fest? Well, never fear – both of these will be hitting the taps and fridges at the brewery at 4pm on Friday 7th June. Cans are priced for takeaway, with a £2 ‘drink in’ corkage.
