So the dust has settled and the fifth annual Leeds International Beer Festival has come to its inevitable end. We saw hundreds of beers being poured from local, national and international brewers, as well as a whole load of street food being slung out to line those stomachs / soak up the beer. What a weekend and what a way to celebrate our passion – great BEER.
We just want to start off by saying a huge thanks to Darren, Maria and John as well as all of the staff, security and volunteers that helped make this festival the best it has ever been. They worked tirelessly and with so much enthusiasm across the whole four days, and boy, are we proud of everyone!
We were delighted to be welcomed back with open arms and have the opportunity to showcase our beers amongst some of our favourite breweries in the UK and Europe. We hope everyone had the best time and enjoyed tasting our beers. Transmission was probably our big hitter of the weekend, as well as the Kettle Sour we collaborated with Lervig to create.
That reminds us, we need to give a shout-out to some of our all-time favourite brewers and people in the industry who we had the pleasure of catching up with. Here it goes; Lervig, our favourite Norwegian gentlemen, Sophie at Fourpure, Magic Rock, Luke and Gaz from Ilkley Brewery, Todd at New Zealand Collective, Jon, Tyler and Russ at Northern Monk, Leigh and Co. from Mikkeller for supplying the Drunk Tank Bar with their ace beers, Ben from Hawkshead, War Pigs, Founders Brewery, Russ from Brewdog, Five Points, Roosters for probably having the coolest pop-up bar at the Festival, our neighbours Wylam for being ace company across the weekend and of course Kirkstall.
Now, we’ve probably missed a whole load of people from that list so we apologise, things are still a *little* hazy on our end. Probably all of that Tequila & Vedita supplied by Cal…
Okay, we’re getting a bit sad writing this now, but fear not… it’s only 358 days ’til #LIBF17 returns – 7th sept 2017, clear you schedule in advance and we’ll see you all next time!
