On Tuesday Sheaf St and North Brewing Co. went head-to-head, in a battle of Grape Vs Grain as part of this year’s Leeds Indie Food festival.
With the Bread & Boar kitchen dishing out a series of Yorkshire charcuterie, cheeses and breads for tasty bites, Sheaf St and North Brewing Co. competed to find the best liquid match for every dish.
Amy Balderston represented Sheaf St with a strong and lusty love for all things wine, whilst Sarah from North Brewing Co smacked back with some of their delicious hefty beer creations.
It was a tightly fought battle, with treats such as Transmission IPA + blue cheese fondue, a delightful sparking red with fennel salami, and potentially the best creme brulee ever made in Leeds.
Wine just edged it… however merriment was had by all.
Sheaf St is an ace cafe and event space on the fringe of Leeds City Centre. It is housed within Duke’s Studios, a creative hub of all things that make Leeds excellent. Sheaf St host regular events, workshops, have North Brewing Co permanently available on their taps and regularly changing food pop ups.
Head down and tell them we sent you!
