HELLO TOM!

Happy Sunday all! Hope that you’ve kept dry this weekend.

Back with another introduction and this week we’d like you to meet Tom! A part of Team Sales here at North! Give him a wave when you see him next

HOW DID YOU COME TO WORK FOR NORTH?
I’d followed North for a while, and loved their beers. I’d been living in Manchester but then lockdown hit and I soon found myself back in my hometown and spending loads of time looking for brewery jobs. So when I saw the job listing I jumped at the chance and now here I am in a new city, with a new job.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST MEMORABLE BEER EXPERIENCE?
Back in my hometown there isn’t really a great beer scene so when I moved to Manchester for uni I was blown away! I was trying a new beer every week in cool little bottle shops or brewery tap rooms. If I had to pick one specific beer that really blew me away it would be Omnipollo Blackberry Bianca that I had at Indy Man Beer Con. The flavours were just crazy and I’d never even considered that a beer could taste like that!

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN LISTENING TO LATELY?
I have a pretty eclectic taste in music to be honest. Recently I’ve been loving Denzel Curry for his awesome energy and lyricism but then I’ve also been loving Japanese City-Pop which is super laid back with 80’s vibes. It’s just the perfect music for just kicking back with some games or working on some artwork.

WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE SPOT FOR A DRINK?
I’d probably have to say a beer festival for me – I’ve only gone to a few but there’s something so special about milling around a crowded venue, trying tons of weird and wonderful beer and getting to talk to people about what they’ve been enjoying. It’s a real community feeling and you get to try stuff you wouldn’t in an average bar on the street.

Tune in next week to meet more of the faces behind North!
