Sarah and Kate headed down for the first ever Brighton Craft Beer Festival this weekend, whilst Alex and Ben were up the other end of the country in Stonehaven. Divide and conquer at it’s best this weekend!
The selection of breweries who came on down to the sunny seaside was fantastic, impressing those who came along for the experience. We used some of the most interesting drip trays we’ve ever come across. Not to mention some great bands and DJs – we had a great time skanking to the Dub Pistols with the guys from Wild Beer and Dry & Bitter on the Friday night.
It was great to catch up with friends we hadn’t seen for a while, those we’d seen only last weekend and to make friends with new faces. Big shout out to Dave Kerr from Wylam and to Stefan from Track for keeping us all sane, to Lou and Dave of Fierce for providing sustenance and entertainment and to Mauritz from Kernel for busting out some serious dance moves!
We had a proper Brighton experience with 99s on the beach, fish and chips, and 50% of team North getting hit by a shitting seagull (not the seagull pictured, but not ruled them out as an accomplice).
We would seriously recommend anyone who loves the seaside to take a trip down to Brighton – there is so much to see and do that Sarah and Kate didn’t want to get on the train to come home!
