Job description

Our bars are brilliant places to work. You will be joining a team of friendly, enthusiastic, like minded people in your venue, alongside meeting people from across the wider North family. Our customers are friendly, and interested in your passion for the drinks that we brew and serve.

We run regular training sessions for our bar team members, and have a range of benefits outside of your wage.

Read on to find out more about joining our bar teams. The list is non-exhaustive, and you may be required to complete additional tasks at the discretion of your manager. We are still a small company so there are plenty of opportunities to get stuck in!

Passion for good quality drinks is a must. Previous beer knowledge would be great but is not essential as full beer and service training is provided.

We require our bar teams to work to the best of their ability at all time during working hours, showing consideration for the needs of the customers, colleagues and managers. As a member of bar staff, your duties will include the following:

Serving customers is your top priority as a member of bar staff.

Table service is a guarantee for our customers, as a member of the bar team it is your job to ensure these expectations are met.

You will be expected to serve customers in a polite, efficient, helpful and knowledgeable manner.

You will be expected to refer any disagreements/complaints to your supervisor.

It is part of your responsibilities to ensure the the bar environment is clean and tidy. This includes both tables and the bar area.

You will be expected to ensure that the bar is well stocked at all times.

All employees are expected to display a high standard of teamwork and participate in all duties equally.

You may be required to cover the hours of absent colleagues, and undertake extra hours of work or duties to ensure the efficient running of the bar.

We expect all team members to be on time to all shifts, or call their line mananger ASAP if this is not possible.

Persistent poor punctuality will be treated as a disciplinary offence.
